Nhan Dan Newspaper opens pavilion at L'Humanité festival

NDO - Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper opened its pavilion at the annual L'Humanité festival at La Courneuve Park on the outskirts of Paris, France on the evening of September 13.

The event was attended by Denis Rondepierre, a Politburo member of the French Communist Party, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Thiep, Lao Ambassador to France Yong Chanthalangsy, and representatives of L'Humanité and Vietnam-France friendship organisations, together with local residents and international visitors.

In his opening remark, journalist Pham Song Ha, member of Nhan Dan Newspaper’s Editorial Board spoke highly of the annual festival, which manifests the spirit of friendship and international solidarity for peace among participating countries. He informed the guests on major celebrations in Vietnam in 2019, including the 74th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2019) and National Day (September 2, 1945-2019), the 50th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s passing (1969 -2019), and the 50-year implementation of his testament.

He also informed French and international friends of the significant achievements gained by Vietnam during 30-year implementing the ‘Doi Moi’ (Renewal) process as well as the country’s effort to safeguard national independence and sovereignty as well as to increase understanding, friendship and cooperation with countries around the world.

For his part, Denis Rondepierre reaffirmed that the French Communist Party always supports Vietnam’s Renewal and international integration process.

At the opening ceremony, French historian Alain Ruscio introduced to the public his latest publication entitled "Hồ Chí Minh, écrits et combats" (Ho Chi Minh, articles and his revolutionarily career.

Ruscio said that he wrote his book as a way to thank President Ho and Vietnamese people, hailing that President Ho Chi Minh succeeded in promoting patriotism and communism.
