The Acting Speaker of the Council of the Nation appreciated the efforts of the Vietnamese Ambassador in promoting relations between the two countries during his term.
He also praised the traditional friendship between the two countries and expressed his admiration for Vietnam’sheroic struggle for national independence and defence as well as achievements in national construction and development.
Salah Goudjil thanked Vietnam for supporting Algeria during its struggle for national liberation and construction.
He noted that the bilateral cooperation in many areas stillremains limited and the trade-economic cooperation has yet to commensurate with the potential and the fine political relationship between two countries.
He suggested that the Algerian Government actively study and implement measures to join the Vietnamese Government in further fostering the bilateral cooperation in all aspects, particularly in the area of economics and trade.
On this occasion, Salah Goudjil conveyed his greetings to the leaders and people of Vietnam, wishing that the two countries would work together to consolidate the traditional friendship and close cooperation in variousaspects.
Ambassador Pham Quoc Tru expressed his sincere thanks from the Vietnamese Government and people to the Algerian Government and people for their warmsentiment and valuable support for Vietnam in the cause of national independence and development. The diplomat affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Algeria and wishes to lift the relationship to a new level.
