Greetings to UK on National Day

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc has sent a message of greetings to Queen Elizabeth II on the National Day of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK).

On the occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh cabled a congratulatory message to his UK counterpart Boris Johnson.

Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son also sent a message of congratulations to UK Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Dominic Raab.

Vietnam and the UK set up diplomatic relations in 1973. Over the past 478 years, bilateral ties have unceasingly developed.

Figures released by the General Department of Vietnam Customs show that in the first two months of this year, trade between Vietnam and the UK reached over US$1.02 billion, up 20.05% year-on-year.
