Speaking at the meeting, Nghia said that in the context of the international and domestic difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam successfully organised the 13th National Party Congress and the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.

Contributions from press agencies in general and Nhan Dan Newspaper in particular contributed to such successes, Nghia affirmed, adding that in the preparation for the 13th National Party Congress, Nhan Dan Newspaper actively completed comprehensively its propaganda work on the major policies and orientations of the Party and State regarding the revolutionary cause in general as well as in specific tasks and works.

In addition, implementing National Press Development and Management Planning by 2025, Nhan Dan Newspaper has tried its best to fulfil its responsibilities as a leading multimedia press agency of the Party and State, with a strong and pervasive communication power, creating a fulcrum for press development in general as well as for the nation’s propaganda work.

Nghia stated that the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress clearly shows the Party’s interest in the press from many angles. Amongst the wishes set forth by the Party is that Nhan Dan Newspaper must be the leading exemplary and humane agency of the Party and State, always maintaining its role in national revolutionary journalism during the new era.
