Senior Party membership insignias presented to former members of parliament

A ceremony was held on November 22 to award long-term Party membership insignias and orders to a number of 14th National Assembly (NA) deputies.

At the event, current NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presented the 40-year Party membership insignia and flowers to former NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and former NA Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong.

Chairman Hue also presented retirement decisions to former NA Vice Chairmen Uong Chu Luu and Phung Quoc Hien, along with several other former NA officials.

At the ceremony, the Independence Order, first class, was awarded to former NA Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien, while second-class and third-class Independence Orders were presented to 15 other officials.

Speaking at the event, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue spoke highly of the contributions of the 14th National Assembly, which worked closely with other agencies to effectively exercise the function of law-making and decide on important national matters.

He affirmed the determination to continue reforming the working method and enhance the quality of National Assembly activities so as to build on past results and record new achievements.
