Vietnam Tank Team joins Army Games 2022

The first crew of the Vietnam People’s Army tank team entered the qualifying round in Group 1 of the “Tank advance” contest at the International Army Games 2022 (Army Games 2022) at the Alabino training grounds on the outskirts of Moscow, Russia, on August 13.

The 1st crew of the tank team of the Vietnam People’s Army finished the contest with the achievement of shooting down 4 out of 5 targets, reaching the finish line with a time of 34 minutes 53 seconds.

The opponents of the Vietnamese tank team were teams from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Venezuela.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan shot down 5 out of 5 targets, finishing in 25 minutes 57 seconds, and Uzbekistan hit 5 out of 5 targets, finishing after 25 minutes 18 seconds. The Venezuelan team shot down 1 out of five targets, finishing after 47 minutes and 05 seconds.

The “Tank advance” contest at the Army Games 2022 attracted 21 teams, competing in 2 groups. Vietnam is in Group 1 with 9 other teams, from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Venezuela, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, China, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia.

Group 2 consists of 11 teams, from Abkhazia, Armenia, Zimbabwe, Iran, Laos, Mali, Myanmar, Syria, Sudan, Tajikistan and South Ossetia.

The second and third crews of the Vietnam People’s Army tank team will enter the qualifying round on August 16 and 20, respectively.
