Asian leaders congratulate Vietnam on 70th National Day

Leaders of many Asian countries have sent greetings to Vietnam on the occasion of the country’s 70th National Day (September 2, 1945).

The congratulatory messages came from Bruneian Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Singaporean President Tony Tan Keng Yam, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Thai Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha, Japanese Emperor Akihito, President of the Republic of Korea Park Geun-hye, President of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Yong Nam, and DPRK Prime Minister Pak Pong Ju.

Bruneian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Singaporean Foreign Minister K. Shanmugam, Thai Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai, and DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong extended congratulations to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the country’s diplomatic sector (August 28, 1945).
