NA Standing Committee's 44th session to comment on series of draft laws

The 44th session of the 13th National Assembly Standing Committee will take place from January 14-16, commenting on draft laws and resolutions, according to the NA Office.

The three-day working session will make comments on amendments to the revised Law on Signing, Joining and Implementing International Treaties; draft Law on Access to Information; revised draft Law on Import-Export Duties; and draft revised Law on Value Added Tax, Excise Tax and Tax Management.

The NA Standing Committee will also discuss the proposed structure of and components relating to NA deputies as well as the number of members from socio-political organisations, the people's armed forces, and central and local state agencies to be candidates for NA deputies.

In particular, the NA Standing Committee will consider the approval of the draft Resolution on the announcement of the Election Day for candidates for the 14th NA and the People's Councils at all levels in the 2016-2021 tenure and the draft Resolution guiding the implementation of the Law on the election of NA deputies and People's Councils.
