New President visits Ninh Binh province

Newly-elected President Tran Dai Quang paid a working visit to the northern province of Ninh Binh on April 3.

Tran Dai Quang, born in Kim Son district of Ninh Binh, was elected as State President at the 11th meeting of the 13th National Assembly on April 2.

At a meeting with local leaders, the President, as a member of Ninh Binh’s 13th National Assembly deputy delegation, expressed his gratitude for the support from local authorities and voters so the entire delegation fulfiled entrusted tasks.

He said the new position is a great honour and a heavy responsibility for him.

The affection of people nationwide and in Ninh Binh in particular for him will be a motivation to help him accomplish all assigned tasks, the State leader added.

He also showed his hope that Ninh Binh people and army will strengthen unity and promote strengths to further develop the province.

Congratulating the newly-elected President, Secretary of the local Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh informed him of the province’s socio-economic development situation and its building of the political system in the first three months of 2016.

The building of the Party and the political system was implemented synchronously, while the local economy continued growing, and defence security was maintained, she stated.
