He said local authorities have been creating all-favourable conditions for US businesses to operate, adding that he hopes US enterprises will continue to invest in the city, while more tourists from the country will visit Ho Chi Minh City.

The official thanked the US people for supporting Vietnam in the cause of national liberalisation and reunification.

He said he hopes the US delegation’s ongoing visit will help strengthen people-to-people co-operation and friendship between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the CPUSA, especially sharing experience in addressing emerging issues in the market economy.

The US guest said he was impressed with the dynamic development of Vietnam, particularly Ho Chi Minh City.

He said he hopes to have more opportunities to visit Vietnam in the future.

It is necessary to tighten solidarity between the two nations’ communist parties, he said, adding that the CPUSA is willing to cooperate and exchange experience with the CPV.
