Lao Paxaxon and Nhan Dan Newspapers enhance exchange

A delegation from Lao Paxaxon newspaper, led by deputy head of the International Department Syvanh Homsayadeth, visited Nhan Dan (The People’s) Newspaper on September 5.

Receiving the delegation, Deputy Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Khanh emphasised that the visit made by the officials and reporters from Paxaxon Newspaper is part of meaningful activities to celebrate 55th founding anniversary of Vietnam – Laos diplomatic ties (September 5, 1962-2017).

He also stated that during the ten-day working visit, the officials and reporters from the two newspapers will enhance their exchanges in their profession.

In addition, the Paxaxon delegates will have a chance to learn more about the land and people of Vietnam, added the Nhan Dan Newspaper Deputy Editor-in-chief.

For his part, the head of the Lao delegation Syvanh Homsayadeth expressed his gratitude to Nhan Dan Newspaper for their reception. He noted that the visit will help Paxaxon’s reporters to collect more valuable documents for articles, particularly on the special friendship between the two countries.

He also extended his greetings to Nhan Dan Newspaper’s officials and reporters, as well as the Vietnamese people, on the occasion of Vietnamese National Day (September 2).

On the occasion of the meeting, the delegation of Lao journalists visited Nhan Dan Newspaper's traditional house, which features the history of the newspaper.
