He made the praise during a reception in Hanoi, on November 23, for an international delegation attending the Congress of the WPC Executive Committee, scheduled for the next day in Vietnam, following the previous version in Brazil in 2016.

He said VUFO is a socio-political organisation undertaking people-to-people diplomacy in the fields of peace, solidarity, friendship and people-to-people cooperation. It works to diversify and strengthen friendship and collaboration between Vietnam and other countries in economy, culture, education, and science-technology for the sake of peace, development, equality, sustainability and social progress.

Amid uncertain developments in the region and the world, Phong wished that the WPC and its members, including the Vietnam Peace Committee, would continue fulfilling their missions to tighten people-to-people solidarity and maintain global peace.

President of the Cuban Movement for Peace and Sovereignty of the Peoples Silvio Platero Yrola affirmed that though geographically distant, the Vietnamese and Cuban Parties, States and peoples always offer mutual support for peace.

Secretary General of the All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation Pallab Sengupta expressed the hope that Vietnam will raise many solutions to the world peace movement and the WPC in particular.
