Extending his best wishes for the retired leaders and senior officials of the Government Office at a meeting in Hanoi, on January 23, PM Phuc briefed the guests on the country’s encouraging socio-economic achievements over the past few years, as well as the tough challenges facing Vietnam’s economy in the future.

He called on the retired officials to make further contributions to the building of the Government Office, helping the Office to fulfil its assigned tasks as an advisory agency of the Government and the Prime Minister.

He praised that, over the past year, the Government Office has effectively assisted and served the Government and Prime Minister in the building and promulgation of resolutions and directions on administrative reform.

The working group of the Prime Minister has demonstrated its efficiency in inspecting and monitoring the implementation of the Government’s directions and instructions, he added.

He also revealed the future launch of one more working group, which will be headed by the Minister of Home Affairs to inspect the discipline and working manner in ministries and agencies.
