Chairwoman of National Assembly (NA) Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan made the encouragement while visiting and presenting Tet gifts to poor households and policy beneficiary families in the locality on January 24.
She heard recommendations proposed by the local authorities and people concerning the close of Thach Khe iron mine project, the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia.
The NA leader also assigned the Ha Tinh province’s leaders to consider and address the local authorities’ petitions for support from the State in order to expand the road in Thuong Hai village and provide clean water and irrigation canals for agricultural production.
On the same day, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and the working delegation offered incense and laid flowers at the National Youth Volunteer Memorial Site and the tombs of ten young female volunteers at the Dong Loc T-junction.
She asked the historical site’s management board to continue upholding its responsibility in managing, preserving and promoting cultural values of the site, contributing to educating patriotism among the younger generations.
