A total of 54 prizes including six ‘A’, eight ‘B’, 15 ‘C’, and 25 consolation prizes were presented to the best entries in the contest. Nhan Dan Newspaper reporters won two ‘A’ and one ‘C’ prizes at the ceremony.

The awards were launched nine months ago by the Party Central Committee’s (PCC) Organisation Commission, Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, the Communist Review, the Vietnam Television, and the Vietnam Journalists’ Association.

The organising board received nearly 1,990 submissions across five categories covering print and online media, radio and television works, and photojournalism by journalists, reporters, Party members, and public servants across the country.

The entries not only recognised and encouraged exemplary models in Party building but also contributed a voice for preventing and controlling corruption and wastefulness, thus consolidating people’s trust in the Party.

Addressing the awards ceremony, Politburo member and Permanent member of the PCC Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong offered congratulations to all of the award winners and spoke of his great appreciation for the huge contributions of journalism to enhancing Party building.

Politburo member Vuong, who is also head of the PCC Inspection Committee, called on press agencies and journalists to keep pace with the Party’s guidelines on Party building in order to effectively disseminate them among the public and expeditiously reflect the implementation of the work in their products.
