Top legislator greets leaders of Netherlands-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce

Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA) Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has encouraged the Netherlands-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) to serve as a bridge to connect and help Dutch firms to develop their investment and business activities in Vietnam, concerning fields of the Netherlands’ strength and Vietnam’s corresponding demand.

The top legislator made the call during her reception for the leaders of the NVCC on March 26 (Vietnamese time), as part of her ongoing official visit to the Netherlands.

She spoke highly of the NVCC’s efforts in helping Dutch companies to seek and promote business opportunities in Vietnam, affirming that as a legislative body, the Vietnamese NA pledges to create a favourable, transparent, and fair legal environment for foreign enterprises as a whole, and Dutch firms in particular, in their ambition to do long-term business in the country.

The NVCC leaders briefed NA Chairwoman Ngan on the agency’s organisation and operation, stating that its primary goal is to help to accelerate trade and investment relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands.

They spoke of their great appreciation for Vietnam’s investment climate, while voicing their belief in Vietnam’s huge economic development potential as well as in the investment opportunities offered by the Vietnamese economy to Dutch investors.

NVCC President Erik Mattyssen thanked the Vietnamese NA leader for her strong commitments concerning the establishment of a solid, transparent, and equal legal framework for all investors, pledging the NVCC’s utmost efforts to connect the businesses of the two countries.
