Vietnam Fatherland Front boosts cooperation with Lao Front

President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Tran Thanh Man received a delegation from the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC), led by LFNC vice Chairwoman Nhótkeomany Suphanuvong, in Hanoi, on March 27.

The VFF leaded affirmed that Vietnam has always appreciated and gives top priority to consolidating and enhancing the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

VFF President Man also expressed his delight at the development of the bilateral relations, particularly the successful organisation of the commemorative activities in 2017, contributing to educating younger generations of the two countries about the comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples.

In particular, the cooperation between the VFF and LFNC has proved effective through the exchanges of delegations, training courses and the signing of cooperation agreements.

In the near future, the VFF and LFNC will continue to implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation among the Vietnamese and Lao fronts and a joint communiqué by the VFF and LFNC on the outcomes of the international conference on building a Vietnam-Laos border of peace for mutual development in the 2017-2020 period.

The VFF leader also asked the LFNC and Lao localities to assist Vietnam in finding and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese martyrs who laid down their lives in Laos during the wartime.

LFNC vice Chairwoman Nhótkeomany Suphanuvong expressed her belief that her visit to Vietnam would help to foster the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two fronts and nations.
