NDO - Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and head of the PCC Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan met with Maurice Braud, National Secretary for International Affairs, Migration and Co-development of the French Socialist Party on March 27, within the framework of the Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's visit to France.

The Vietnamese official briefed the host about the significance of the Vietnamese delegation's visit to France which aims to mark the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-France strategic partnership.

Head of the PCC Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan spoke highly of the relations between the two political parties in the past and proposed a number of measures to strengthen bilateral relations in the future, contributing to advancing relations between the two countries and their peoples.

Maurice Braud expressed his pleasure at the official visit to France by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation following the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron and believes that the visit will undoubtedly contribute to consolidating the relationship between Vietnam and France.

The French Socialist Party official said that the relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the French Socialist Party has yet to develop in line with the wishes of the two sides. Therefore, the two sides should actively cooperate and further promote their bilateral relationship to make a worthwhile contribution to enhancing the strategic partnership between Vietnam and France in the future.

The two sides also discussed the particular situations of each Party and country while exchanging measures to promote the bilateral relationship as well as sharing views on other international issues of common concern.
