The 27-member delegation was made up of Vietnamese Heroic mothers, revolutionary contributors, war veterans, and policy beneficiaries.

Addressing the function, Vice President Thinh stressed that Party and State recognise the valuable role of national contributors.

She highly applauded Tien Giang provincial authorities for mobilising all available resources to realise the Party and State’s policy targeting national contributors.

She also hoped that the delegates would continue to uphold the country’s traditions, promoting their roles as examples for younger generations, and encouraging others to follow the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies and laws.

According to the Tien Giang provincial Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the local authorities have spent around VND10 billion every year to care for national contributors in the province.

The money has been used to upgrade or rebuild social houses, present gifts on national holidays, and support the economic activities of national contributors.
