Party Central Committee elects two additional members to Secretariat

The Party Central Committee (PCC) elected two additional members, namely Tran Cam Tu and Tran Thanh Man, to the Secretariat on May 9, during the third day of its 7th plenum.

The PCC agreed, through a vote, to allow Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member, and permanent member of the Secretariat and Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission, to leave the posts as the agency’s member and chairman.

The PCC elected Tran Cam Tu, standing vice chairman of the Central Inspection Commission, as its new chairman.

Hoang Van Tra, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Phu Yen province, was elected to the Central Inspection Commission.

The other new member of the Secretariat is Tran Thanh Man, who is currently President of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front.

The PCC also decided to expel Dinh La Thang from the Party after he was charged with serious economic mismanagement while chairman of PVN.

In the afternoon, the PCC discussed the plan on reforming salary policies for cadres, public servants, the armed forces and employees in enterprises, under the chair of Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Politburo member and Chairwoman of the National Assembly.
