Speaking at the reception, President Filipe Nyusi said that Mozambique both treasures and wants to intensify its traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam.

Both sides should strengthen their collaboration in mining and exploiting natural resources and in environmental protection, the President noted, adding that Mozambique always supports and encourages Vietnam’s business and investment activities in the country.

For his part, Ambassador Hoang emphasised that Vietnam attaches great importance to developing its time-honoured friendship with Mozambique.

The Vietnamese diplomat said he hopes for close coordination with the host country’s ministries and sectors so as to enhance bilateral multifaceted cooperation, especially in the areas of telecommunications, investment, and trade.

The Ambassador also expressed his thanks to the Mozambican President and the Government for supporting the Vietnamese community’s integration into Mozambique, thus helping to tighten friendship between the two peoples.
