Vietnamese leaders pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh

Senior Vietnamese leaders laid a wreath at the mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh on the morning of May 18 to mark the occasion of the 128th anniversary of the birth of the founder of modern Vietnam.

The delegation included General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, former General Secretaries Le Kha Phieu and Nong Duc Manh, President Tran Dai Quang, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, President of the Vietnamese Fatherland Tran Thanh Man, and other current and retired senior leaders.

At the mausoleum, Party and State leaders expressed their deep gratitude for President Ho Chi Minh’s immeasurable contributions to the nation.

After paying tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, the delegation laid a wreath and offered incense at the Memorial to Heroes and Martyrs to commemorate those who have fallen in the struggle for national independence.

The same day, delegations of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Public Security, and Hanoi also paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and fallen soldiers.
