After listening to the sub-committees’ reports on the implementation of preparation work since the first meeting, Son, who heads the organising committee, emphasised that the Party and State highly value the multifaceted significance of the WEF ASEAN, hailing this as one of the country’s most important foreign affairs activities in 2018, while directing the successful organisation of the Meeting, thus actively contributing to consolidating Vietnam’s position in ASEAN and in the region.
The deputy minister applauded the efforts made by the sub-committees and members of the organising committee in accelerating the preparation work in line with the roadmap, asking them to diligently prepare the contents for the upcoming working session with a survey delegation of the WEF, which will arrive in Hanoi later this month.

The WEF ASEAN 2018 is scheduled to take place at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi from September 11 to 13, featuring entrepreneurship and the fourth industrial revolution. The conference is expected to draw the participation of senior leaders from ASEAN member states and regional countries, large international organisations, and leaders of world-leading groups.
The working agenda of the Meeting will feature about 55 sessions, focused on discussing the opportunities, benefits, and issues posed by the fourth industrial revolution to ASEAN nations; in addition to the ideas and policies to light up entrepreneurship, promote dynamic and creative development, and enhancing the competitiveness of ASEAN member states in the fourth industrial revolution.
