Deputy PM Hue expressed his pleasure at the fine development of friendship and cooperative relations between the two countries over the past years.

The Deputy PM said that in early July, a Vietnamese delegation will pay a working visit to Chile to promote the economic and diplomatic relations between the two countries in the coming time, in order to effectively implement the agreements reached by senior leaders of the two nations over the recent past.

The highlight of the visit, according to Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue, is the Vietnam Chile Free Trade Council meeting and the Vietnam-Chile Business Forum to introduce the potential for economic cooperation between the two sides.

Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Chile in Vietnam Gonzalo Gualquil Smoje said that the two countries have better opportunities to cooperate and develop when the two economies have an export and import structure which is complementary to the other. Chile also attaches great importance and devotes special attention to Vietnam, a country with an important role in Southeast Asia.

The two sides said the visit of the Vietnamese delegation to Chile is an important occasion, which will bring economic benefits for businesses of the two sides in the coming time.
