Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue affirmed that the National Assembly and the Government praised the patriotism and deep interests of people across the country in the nation’s important matters, and condemned actions making use of democracy to distort the truth and cause social disorder, affecting the life of people, production and business activities, and disrupt operations of agencies and organisations.

Regarding the proposals of voters on the quality of higher education, general education, management of preschool education and morals and lifestyles in schools, the Deputy PM said that in order to improve the quality of education, each teacher must primarily be a good example of the virtues, lifestyles, and qualifications to the students.

On this occasion, Deputy PM Hue presented 30 gifts, each worth VND 3 million, to the outstanding students of Ha Tinh University.

On the same day, Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member and permanent member of the Secretariat and a delegation of National Assembly (NA) deputies of Yen Bai province, held meetings with voters in Van Yen district, Yen Bai province to inform them of the outcomes of the recent fifth meeting of the 14th National Assembly.

He noted that the NA approved seven laws and eight resolutions, and made comments on nine other laws. In particular, during the Q&A session, the NA deputies and Government officials clarified issues of public concern.

Many voters from Van Yen district expressed their disagreement that certain individuals take advantage of the patriotism of local workers to disturb public order, while inciting workers to strike at factories and threatening those who did not follow their directions. Voters requested that the authorities strictly punish any lawbreakers to make workers feel more secure at work.

They also hoped for more support from the authorities in order to upgrade local roads connecting National Highway 70 and Lao Cai province.

He acknowledged and received the comments of local voters, affirming that their ideas will be submitted to the NA and authorised agencies. He noted that voters and people should be vigilant against hostile forces, while remaining confident in the leadership of the Party and State.

Most of the voters highly valued the results of the legislative meeting, which, they said, reflects reform and democracy. They raised concerns over a range of issues such as the issuance of certificates of using land rights for households, which have been stable over 10 years; creating jobs for students after graduation, especially children of ethnic minorities; and illegal sand mining on the Da Nhim River.

Politburo member Mai acknowledged and received the comments of local voters, affirming that their ideas will be submitted to the NA and authorised agencies.
