At the talks, the two sides updated each other on their respective economic situations, socio and cultural development and achievements in the Front work of the two capitals over the past recent years.
According to President of the VFF’s Hanoi chapter Vu Hong Khanh, the chapter has renovated its operations to fulfil the aspiration of people from all walks of life, while enthusiastically cooperating in charity activities, environmental protection, and poverty reduction.
It has also actively participated in the settlement of complaints and denunciations as well as patriotic and emulation movements on building new rural areas, supporting the poor, and promoting made-in-Vietnam goods.
For his part, Chairman of the LFNC’s Vientiane chapter, Bounthieng Khounsy, highly valued the sharing of its Hanoi counterpart, saying that it would provide valuable experience for the Vientiane chapter.
He briefed the host on the socio-economic development of Vientiane as well as the operation of the city’s Front.
He also expressed his hope for further cooperation and detailed joint action plans to strengthen the long-standing friendship between the two capital cities and the two countries in general.
