This information was announced at a press conference in Hanoi on July 4.

The VME 2018 will focus on introducing new technologies, manufacturing solutions and business secrets from more than 200 well-known brands in the field of advanced technology and machinery.

Addressing the press conference, Luu Hoang Long, Chairman of the Vietnam Electronics Industries Association, shared that the number of domestic enterprises in the electronics supporting industry which have supplied FDI enterprises remains small. The limited understanding between the two sides is one of causes; for this reason, the connection between FDI enterprises and domestic enterprises is highly necessary, he added.

According to calculations by the International Federation of Robotics, the number of industrial robots installed in factories in 2015 is about 1.6 million and this number will increase to 2.6 million in 2019. The current technology has many advantages such as customisation, precision, and fast processing speed which are always prioritised by both manufacturers and investors.
