Condolences extended to Japan over quake devastation

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has sent a message of condolences to his Japanese counterpart, Shinzo Abe, over great losses in humans and property caused by a major earthquake and subsequent landslide in Japan’s Hokkaido prefecture on September 6.

This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a communiqué on September 11.

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also sent his sympathy to Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono.
