Four Vietnamese citizens reported in Air Niugini plane crash

Four Vietnamese citizens have been reported as being among the passengers on board the Papua New Guinea’s Air Niugini plane, which overshot the runway and landed in the water in Micronesia on September 28, according to the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia.

The Consular Department under the Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working with the Vietnamese embassies in Indonesia and the Philippines and the relevant agencies at home and abroad to support and complete the necessary schedules to safely bring home the four Vietnamese citizens.

All of the passengers on the flight have been provided with accommodation and food by Air Niugini during their temporary stay in Micronesia.
