Seminar highlights revolutionary cause of communist Luong Khanh Thien

A seminar entitled "Comrade Luong Khanh Thien and the Vietnamese revolution and his hometown Ha Nam" was held in Ha Nam province on October 9 to commemorate the 115th birth anniversary of communist Luong Khanh Thien (October 13, 1903-2018).

The event was jointly organised by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMNAP), the Party Central Committee Commission for Communications and Education, and the Party Committee of Ha Nam province.

HCMNAP Director, Prof., Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasised that the seminar is a chance for delegates to study and get a better understanding about the life and glorious revolutionary career of comrade Luong Khanh Thien, a talented leader of the Party and a loyal communist who devoted his life to the national liberation cause and the happiness of the people.

Comrade Luong Khanh Thien, who had made tremendous contributions to the cause of Vietnamese revolution, has become a respected and noble figure of Vietnamese communists and has always been a pride of the Party and Vietnamese people, Thang noted.

Luong Khanh Thien was born in Thanh Liem district, Ha Nam province on October 13, 1903. He began to participate in revolutionary activities when he was 20 years old and was arrested and imprisoned by the French colonialists many times. He was sentenced to death and executed by the French in Hai Phong in September 1941.

At the seminar, delegates delivered speeches featuring the formation of the personality and revolutionary ideal of comrade Luong Khanh Thien; his youth, patriotic activities, and contributions to the nation; the example of communist Luong Khanh Thien with the working class and the worker movement in Vietnam; among others.
