Vietnam attaches special importance to relationship with Laos: Deputy PM

Standing Deputy Prime Minister, Truong Hoa Binh, valued the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos, while affirming that Vietnam always attaches great importance to preserving and promoting the bilateral relationship between the two sides.

The government official made the remarks at a meeting with Politburo member,of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Vientiane Party Committee and Governor of Vientiane, Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, in Hanoi, on October 12.

Deputy PM Binh expressed his delight at the increasing development of the relations between localities of the two countries, including the ties between Vientiane and Hanoi, through cooperation in the various areas of politics, economics, education, culture, health, and others.

He also expressed his wish that the two cities would continue to support each other in socio-economic development in order to contribute to consolidating the friendship and solidarity between the two countries.

Governor of Vientiane, Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, informed Deputy PM Binh of the results of his work with Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai, under which the two sides shared experience and solutions to boost their cooperation in various fields.

Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune hoped that the Vietnamese Government would create conditions for Vientiane to foster its cooperation with Hanoi and other localities of Vietnam.
