Great national unity festival helps to cement bond between leaders and people: PM

The great national unity festival, which is being celebrated in more than 100,000 residential areas across the country, provides a good opportunity for leaders and Party members to listen to people’s aspirations, thus cementing the bond between the leaders and the people.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made the statement while joining the residents in Ninh Son hamlet, Ninh Son commune, Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province, at the great national unity festival on November 10.

The festival is also an opportunity to strengthen unity in the community and encourage residents’ contributions to the development of their hamlets and villages, the Prime Minister stressed.

He briefed the participants on the country’s significant achievements in socio-economic development, defence, security, and external affairs, as well as the encouraging improvements in people’s living conditions.

Applauding the outcomes of the unity movements launched in Noi Ninh hamlet, he expressed his hope that the hamlet’s leaders will pay greater attention to addressing people’s concerns. He also called on locals to promote mutual support and solidarity in the community, while preserving and upholding their families’ good traditions.

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue attended the great unity festival in Thanh Luong hamlet, Hien Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province.
