At a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo, PM Phuc highlighted the positive outcomes of cooperation between Vietnam and China over the past time.

Vietnam attaches great importance to developing the friendly neighbourliness and comprehensive cooperation with China, he said, urging the ambassador to make practical contributions to the relationship in the coming time.

For his part, Xiong pledged to do his utmost to promote the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership for the interests and development of each country, thereby contributing to peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

Meeting Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Kim Højlund Christensen, PM Phuc said Vietnam and Denmark should coordinate closely with each other to realise agreements reached during his visit to the European country last October.

He said the current trade turnover of 700 million USD between the two countries has yet to match their potential and voiced his hope that Vietnam and Denmark will step up bilateral trade and investment ties.

The leader asked the ambassador to organise more trips for Danish businesses to Vietnam in order to seek new cooperation opportunities and forms with host agencies, and called for Denmark’s support to Vietnam’s prioritised projects in climate change response, environmental protection, education and health care.

PM Phuc said he believed that the ambassador, with his diplomatic experiences, will make practical contributions to the bilateral relations in the time ahead.

In reply, Christensen expressed his delight at the fruitful relationship between Vietnam and Denmark and promised to work hard to push ahead with the implementation of agreements reached during the PM’s visit to Denmark in October this year.

Many Danish enterprises have shown their interests in investing in Vietnam, he said, lauding the Vietnamese Government’s efforts in improving the investment climate.
The diplomat promised to make every effort to raise bilateral trade in the time to come.
