Military Central Hospital urged to improve health check-ups and treatment quality

The Military Central Hospital 108 should continue to promote renovation, towards improving the quality of medical examinations and treatment in the future.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made the statement while attending a ceremony held by the Hospital to receive the title ‘Hero of People's Armed Forces’ for the second time and inaugurate its modern regional medical complex.

The event also saw the presence of former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; Politburo members: Permanent member of the Secretariat, Tran Quoc Vuong and Defence Minister Ngo Xuan Lich; among others.

At the ceremony, PM Phuc presented the title to the Hospital and gave his best wishes to its leaders, doctors and staff members.

Addressing the event, the Government leader emphasised that Hospital 108 has applied advanced technology and science in diagnosis, emergencies and treatment to gain numerous special achievements, particularly the successful performance of the first lung transplant in Vietnam in March.

He also appreciated the Hospital’s efforts over recent times, towards the goal of becoming a smart and world-class hospital.

The PM asked Hospital 108 to enhance its research work and master scientific and technological advances, as well as to focus on training human resources with firm political stuff and high expertise and expand international cooperation, thereby ensuring the requirements for the development of a special-grade hospital.

PM Phuc congratulated the Hospital for the inauguration of the modern regional medical complex consisting of two 20-storey buildings and a nine-storey building.
