Arts programme celebrates Party founding anniversary

An arts programme was held in Hanoi on January 26 to commemorate the 89th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 60th anniversary of the "Dao Duc Cach Mang” (Revolutionary Ethics) work, and the 50th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament.

The event was attended by Politburo member and Standing member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong; Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of PCC Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh; former Politburo member, former Secretary of PCC, former PCC Organisation Commission To Huy Rua; Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam, Nguyen Hoa Binh; and representatives of leaders of the related departments and agencies.

Addressing the programme, Thuan Huu, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the PCC Communication and Education Commission, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, emphasised that President Ho Chi Minh wrote his work "Dao Duc Cach Mang" to thoroughly inform officials and party members on the role and heavy duty of the revolutionary cadres. His instructions have become a valuable handbook on cultivation for cadres and party members, helping the Party become stronger and stronger, as the revolutionary leader of Vietnam goes from one victory to another.

The programme aims to review the heartfelt words and valuable lessons of President Ho Chi Minh in identifying and fighting against individualism and Party building work. The highlight of the programme is three short plays by Meritorious Artist Tien Hoi and artists of Hanoi Drama Theatre. The programme also features songs to praise the Party, Uncle Ho and welcome the new year, with the participation of singers: Meritorious Artist Ta Minh Tam, Tan Nhan, Thuy Mien, and dancers from the Vietnam Contemporary Art Theatre.

On the same day, the Communist Magazine also coordinated with Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) to organise an art programme to commemorate the 89th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The event was attended by Politburo member, Secretary of PCC and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong; former Secretary of the Party Central Committee and former Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan; and Party Central Committee members, along with leaders of various ministries, departments, agencies and localities.

The programme is considered as a meaningful activity in the atmosphere of the country preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year, expressing gratitude to the Party and Uncle Ho, and the great contributions of steadfast party members.
