Vietnam sends congratulations to re-elected Bangladeshi parliament speaker

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on February 13 cabled a message of congratulations to Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on her re-election as Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad, the Bangladeshi parliament.

Vietnam and Bangladesh established diplomatic relations 45 years ago. Since then, the two nations have maintained their traditional friendship and solid cooperation, and have observed important development steps in terms of both politics and economy.

Vietnam has always attached importance to and wished to further develop its friendly and cooperative relations with Bangladesh. The two countries have stood side by side and supported each other in their respective processes of national construction, sovereignty safeguarding, and economic development.
