President of Argentina pays State visit to Vietnam

President of the Argentine Republic Mauricio Macri, his spouse and a high-ranking Argentine delegation have arrived in Hanoi to begin their State visit to Vietnam at the invitation of President Nguyen Phu Trong.

The Argentine President was accompanied by President of the Chamber of Deputies Emilio Monzo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship Jorge Faurie, Minister of Modernisation Andres Ibarra, Minister of Agro-industry of Argentina Luis Miguel Etchevehere, Argentine Secretary for Strategic Affairs Fulvio Pompeo, Secretary for International Economic Relations Horacio Reyser, Argentine Ambassador to Vietnam Juan Valle Raleigh, among others.

President of the Argentine Republic Mauricio Macri was born on February 8, 1959 in Tandil city, Buenos Aires province, Argentina. He received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina. He created the centre-right Republican Proposal party (also known as PRO) in 2005.
He represented the city in the lower house of the Congress of Argentina from 2005 to 2007. He was chief of government of Buenos Aires from 2007 to 2015. Mauricio Macri has been in office as the Argentine President since 2015.
