The event was attended by Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education, Vo Van Thuong.
Speaking at the ceremony, member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Nhan Dan Editor-in-Chief, deputy head of the PCC Communication and Education Commission, Thuan Huu, said that, over the past 30 years, Nhan Dan Weekly (formally Nhan Dan Sunday) has fulfilled its assigned tasks, significantly contributing to the renovation of the press as well as the nation’s development.

The publication’s reporters have made efforts to innovate both their writing styles and design to create impressive and attractive articles that reflect all fields including politics, socio-economics, science, education, literature and arts.
For his part, head of Nhan Dan Weekly Phan Huy Thang stated that the publication’s officials and reporters are continuing to improve their professional qualifications and political material to meet the increasing demand of readers in the new situation.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Politburo member Thuong presented the Prime Minister’s certificate of merit to Nhan Dan Weekly.
