NDO - The Standing Committee of the National Assembly opened its 31st session on February 21 under the chair of Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

The parliamentary leader stated that the standing committee would discuss the differences in the revisions to the law on public investment and the law on tax management.

Amendments to both laws were already tabled and debated at the 6th plenary session of the National Assembly in late 2018.

Also in this session, the National Assembly’s Standing Committee will listen to a government report on public feedback on revisions to the education law and express their opinions concerning the capital for the National University construction project in Hoa Lac.

Chairwoman Ngan stated that it is the first meeting following the Lunar New Year holiday and the relevant documents have been well prepared to ensure the meeting is effective.

On the occasion of the new spring, the parliamentary leader extended her best wishes to the participants at the meeting and expressed her expectation that the legislative, executive and judicial agencies will fulfil the set targets.
