Late Party Chief Le Duan’s 112th birthday marked

A delegation of Quang Tri province’s leaders as well as officials and people from Trieu Phong District offered incense and flowers to late Party General Secretary Le Duan on April 7, at his memorial house in Hau Kien village, Trieu Thanh commune.

The incense offering ceremony was held to commemorate the 112th birthday of the late Party chief.

At the ceremony, the delegates paid tribute to and reviewed the life and glorious revolutionary career of the late Party leader, who was a prominent leader of the Party and nation, an outstanding student of President Ho Chi Minh and a loyal son of the heroic Quang Tri homeland.

Quang Tri cadres and people pledged to promote solidarity and make more efforts to develop the locality to become more prosperous, beautiful and civilised as well as to educate revolutionary tradition among younger generations.

After the ceremony, a traditional boat race was held at the river wharf in front of the memorial area dedicated to Late Party General Secretary Le Duan.

The tournament featured the participation of 25 male and female boat teams with over 300 athletes from 19 communes and towns.
