Speaking at the session, Politburo member Mai praised Da Nang for its comprehensive results in socio-economic development, with relatively high economic growth and adequate urban planning and development to meet the requirements of organising major regional and international events. The city has flexibly and effectively implemented its policies to create a favourable environment for attracting resources for local development.

The fields of cultural development and building urban civilised lifestyle have been deployed effectively, contributing to building a brand and identity for the city.

Da Nang has also actively cooperated with localities in many other countries, while promoting its core role as a key and major city in the central region and the country.

Politburo member Mai praised the city for its excellent implementation of the Party building work, as well as the streamline of the public apparatus and staff capacity development.

At the session, the senior Party official also pointed out the limitations and shortcomings in implementing the Platform and the 12th National Party Congress’s Resolution in Da Nang while suggesting issues that need to be focused on to promote the potential and strength of the city for its rapid and sustainable development, thus meeting the targets set in the 12th Politburo’s Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW on Da Nang’s development by 2030, with a vision to 2045.
