The session focused on reviewing the 10 years of implementation of the Politburo’s Conclusion No.62-KL/TW on continuing to renew the content and modes of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and political-social organisations.

According to a report presented by the HCYU at the session, over the past 10 years, the Youth Union at all levels have devised practical and concrete solutions to innovate and improve the effectiveness of emulation movements and programmes.

The movements contributed to affirming the role of the Youth Union in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and young people nationwide.

Besides reforming activities to attract more youngsters to the revolutionary movements, especially in disadvantaged areas, Politburo member Mai urged the HCYU to continue to uphold its role in creating more favourable conditions for young people to access learning opportunities and develop their working skills.

On the same day, Politburo member Mai, who is also Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation, worked with the northern province of Hoa Binh.

She suggested that the province focus on directing the implementation of the tasks of socio-economic development, continuing to improve the living standard for local people, and resolving policies for ethnic minority groups.

It is also crucial to enhance the work of building a strong Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front, and mass organisations, she noted.
