The event was attended by Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy PM Hue hailed the efforts and positive response from the agencies and units under the Industry and Trade sector to the campaign over the past ten years.

The campaign has brought good achievements, significantly contributing to promoting production, stabilising macro-economy and domestic consumption, reducing import of goods, and ensuring social security, he added.

The Deputy PM asked the MoIT to continue improving the quality of the ministry’s Steering Committee for the campaign.

He also noted that the ministry should closely coordinate with other agencies, localities and Vietnam Fatherland Front committees at all levels to accelerate the implementation of the Government’s scheme on developing the domestic market in association with the campaign, while replicating advanced examples in the research and application of new technologies.
