VAA honoured with first-class Labour Order

The Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors (VAA) organised its 6th Congress of delegates (term 2019-2024) and held a ceremony on May 26, in Hanoi, to mark its 25th anniversary and receive the Labour Order, first class.

On behalf of Party and State leaders, Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue presented the first-class Labour Order, which is the Party and State's noble reward, to the VAA in recognition of its contribution to Vietnam's accounting and auditing sector as well as the country's socio-economic development.

Over the 25 past years, Vietnam’s accounting and auditing sector has contributed to improving the business and investment environment and transparency of the national financial sector.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue praised the VAA’s achievements over recent time, emphasising it as a social and professional organisation of Vietnamese accountants and auditors. He added that the VAA should always strive to innovate and develop in terms of organisation, content and form of operation.

In order to meet the requirements of fast and sustainable development, Deputy PM proposed that the VAA continue to gather more and more members into the association, improve its members’ competency, and strengthen international cooperation, towards building the association into a strong organisation of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations. Meanwhile, the VAA was also urged to actively participate in implementing Vietnam's accounting and auditing strategy for 2020, vision to 2030.
