NA Chairwoman meets voters in Phong Dien district, Can Tho city

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan hosted a meeting with voters in Phong Dien district, the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on June 18 to inform them about the outcomes of the 14 NA’s seventh session.

Voters in the locality raised their opinions on various issues, including environmental protection, anti-corruption, food safety and hygiene, traffic safety, health care and administrative apparatus reform.

Regarding university entrance examination cheating and ethics in schools, she said those are pressing social issues that have caught the publics’ concerns, saying they are being tackled by competent agencies in line with the law.

The leader informed them that before school and university examinations in 2019, the NA and government urged the education sector and localities to hold them in line with the law, thus meeting aspirations of voters and people.

Taking note of voters’ opinions urging stronger reform of the management and operation of all-level administrations, the NA Chairwoman emphasised the need to complete the personnel system to deal with shortcomings in the work.

She also stressed the necessity to reform the working manner and attitude of public servants, along with more efforts in fighting petty corruption and handling any violations.
