Leaders meet voters after NA's seventh session

General Ngo Xuan Lich, who is a Politburo member and the Minister of Defence, met with voters who are representatives of officers of the armed forces in the northern province of Ha Nam on June 19.

Many voters took the occasion to voice their opinions about issues related to socio-economic development, national defence and security, and social order and safety.

They also gave high estimations to the success of the NA’s seventh session and expressed their appreciation for the responsibilities of provincial delegations of NA deputies.

Speaking at the meeting, General Ngo Xuan Lich urged the officers and soldiers of armed forces in the province to thoroughly grasp the Party’s guidelines and viewpoints as well as the State’s policies and laws on national defence, and further tighten links between the army and people.

He also expressed his belief that the officers and soldiers will overcome all difficulties and challenges, thus fulfilling all assigned tasks towards national construction and defence.

Also the same day, Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh met voters of the 575th Infantry Brigade (Military Zone 1) on June 19.

At the meeting, representatives of Thai Nguyen National Assembly delegation briefed attendees on the outcomes of the recently concluded seventh session of the 14th National Assembly.

Also on June 19, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan met with voters in Binh Thanh district, Ho Chi Minh City.

Most of the voters said that the question and answer sessions at the newly concluded National Assembly’s seventh session took place in a democratic and lively atmosphere. Social issues, such as traffic accidents, alcohol abuse, drugs, school violence and land violations were addressed by NA delegates.

The voters also expressed their concern over several issues related to education-training, legislation, the handling of complaints and denunciations, and environmental protection.
