Conference reviews cooperation between Vietnam and China’s Guangdong

Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung and Vice Governor of China’s Guangdong province Ouyang Weimin co-chaired the seventh conference reviewing cooperation results between Vietnam’s ministries and localities and the Chinese province in Guangzhou city from June 23-25.

At the event, both sides focused discussions on measures to foster trade cooperation, expand the import of Vietnam’s high-quality products, and upgrade An Phong industrial zone in Vietnam’s Hai Phong city.

Addressing the event, Trung affirmed Vietnam’s consistent policy of treasuring its friendship neighbourliness and comprehensive cooperation with China, and hoping to boost win-win cooperation with China in general and Guangdong province in particular.

Ouyang, in turn, affirmed that Guangdong attaches importance to developing its relations with Vietnam’s ministries, sectors and localities, and is willing to coordinate with the Vietnamese side in carrying out cooperation programmes, especially in the fields of economics, trade and investment.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister had meetings with Governor of Guangdong province Ma Xingrui and Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology Wang Jiangping. He also attended and delivered a speech at a forum to promote Vietnam-Guangdong trade and investment, which attracted representatives from more than 170 enterprises of Vietnam and China's Guangdong and Hong Kong.
