After hearing the province’s report on the current situation and their suggestions, Deputy PM Hue praised the efforts of local people and leaders in overcoming difficulties to achieve positive results in socio-economic development.

Deputy PM urged the province to make use of its long coastline and favourable transport infrastructure to boost tourism and aquaculture development, expand the local forest coverage and create breakthroughs in the processing industry and in high-tech agriculture development.

He also asked the province to continue to renovate and organise the apparatus of the streamlined and effective political system, renew the organization and management system, and improve the quality and operational efficiency of public non-business units.

It is also necessary to drastically implement economic restructuring and ensure the improvement of growth quality, with a focus on restructuring the agricultural sector and the national target program on new rural construction to ensure substantive quality, aiming to increase income and improve people's lives, he added.

In the first six months of the year, despite difficulties due to droughts, hot weather and prolonged epidemics, the province has seen progress, with its average economic growth rate reaching 9.2%, much higher than the national average (6.76%).

Budget collection of the province is estimated at VND3.33 trillion, reaching 61% of the province's estimates.
