In his opening speech, VFF President Tran Thanh Man asked the delegates to contribute their ideas towards completing the documents and contents for the VFF’s national congress.

For her part, Truong Thi Mai, Head of the Central Commission for Mass Mobilisation, expects the documents to reflect strong innovations and highlight the positive changes in socio-economic development, external relations and defence-security.

Commending the significant role of the VFF, she said that the upcoming congress will not only determine the VFF’s goals until 2015 but will also look to build a fatherland front which continues to enjoy the people’s trust and support in the more distant future.

At the conference, the delegates made their final contributions to the draft documents, including the political report, the term review report, the agenda of the congress and the amended charter of the VFF.

The national congress of the VFF is scheduled to take place in September.
