Speaking at the meeting, Deputy PM Dam paid his respect to the sacrifice and contributions made by previous generations to the cause of national liberation.

He affirmed that the Party and State have always paid special attention to improving both the material and spiritual lives of revolutionary contributors, including former patriotic prisoners.

The Deputy PM asked the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs to coordinate with relevant agencies, Quang Ngai province and the provincial Patriotic Prisoners Association to verify and resolve appropriate policies for the local revolutionary contributors.

He expressed his hope that the patriotic prisoners from Quang Nam province would continue to uphold their patriotic tradition and the will of the communist soldiers as well as to educate younger generations to strictly observe the Party's guidelines and State's policies and laws.

Quang Ngai Provincial Patriotic Prisoners Association currently has 8,329 members, who have always kept absolute trust in the Party’s leadership as well as preserved bravery and indomitable spirit.
